Champagne Eric Rodez, Ratafia Champenois NV

£62.00

Crafted from Pinot Noir must and fortified with fine Champagne spirit, this Ratafia offers a concentrated, oxidative profile. The nose reveals layers of dried fig, candied orange zest, walnut, and vanilla, underpinned by subtle oak influence. On the palate, it’s viscous yet balanced, with rich notes of prune, honey, toasted almond, and baking spice, finishing with a long, harmonious sweetness. Ideal with foie gras, aged cheese, or as a digestif.

Ignoring trends since 1984, Eric tends his vineyards in organic and biodynamic viticulture, famously using aromatherapy on his 6 hectares in Ambonnay Grand Cru. The 2024 release marks a fresh start for Champagne Eric Rodez. Together with Eric we have identified a way to help all trade professionals, collectors, and consumers to better identify his “Vins d’Auteur” range year after year, The appearance of the Edition number on the label will offer better traceability and visibility in the market.
